The sunrise over Lake Michigan was beautiful. In fact, I haven't seen a sunrise over Lake Michigan in over thirty years. We got up and out at 6:02 am (cst). The trip odometer was 6,919 at the start of our final leg. Bill drove the first shift, while we all slept. I took the second shift at the wheel after lunch. It was a perfectly uneventful ride. We pulled into our driveway in Sleepy Town just before 7pm, with a final trip mileage of 7,689. Lots of miles, and we all agreed, we'd do it again tomorrow! Great odyssey, and a great and beautiful country, too!
