Vietnam and Cambodia
With most of the country in the grips of a "bomb cyclone" winter weather phenomenon, Bill and I drove to Miami for a quick overnight near the airport. The hotel was convenient for our early morning check-in. Chicago-Tokyo-Ho Chi Minh city will take nearly twenty hours of air travel. My book, Matterhorn: A Novel about the Vietnam War is getting me in the spirit of the journey. I can't stop thinking about my young Will as I read about these scared kids in the jungle. We are currently delayed in Chicago, but comfy and excited to get this adventure underway. Stay tuned!
